How to Make Genuine Artificial A1 Steak Sauce

How to make Genuine Artificial A1 Steak SauceAmount Measure Ingredient Instruction

1/2 C Dark Molasses

2 Green Onions chop finely

3 Tbsp Coarse Salt

3 Tbsp Dry Mustard

1 Tsp Paprika Powder

1/4 Tsp Cayenne Powder

1 Clove garlic crushed

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

1 Anchovy Fillet chop finely

1 tbsp Anchovy Paste

6 tbsp Fresh Tamarind ... or

1 tbsp Tamarind Extract

1 tsp White Pepper

1/2 tsp Fenugreek Powder

1/2 tsp Powdered Ginger

1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1 tsp Powdered Clove

1/2 tsp Cardamen Seeds

Hold

3 Drops Tabasco

6 oz Rhine Wine

2 oz Rose Wine

1 pt White Vinegar

1 tbsp Kitchen Bouquet

1 tbsp Postum Powder

Put all of the first spices (except for the ingredients listed as “hold”, molasses or any liquid) in to a pulse blender and pulverize.

Place in a sauce pan with half the vinegar and put on low heat allowing the mix to simmer and thicken, stirring occasionally. Add the rest of the vinegar over the course of the hour a little at a time as the mixture thickens.

Stir in the Tabasco, wine and kitchen bouquet. Stir until the mix is fully dissolved.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Pour into a 2 quart Bell Jar or other long-term container.

Let stand covered for 1 week.

Then strain the mix through a cheese-cloth.

Seal the jar securely and refrigerate.
