Corporate Social Responsibility has become a very nice way of demanding more from the producers for those that do not, cannot or will not produce in the name of some distorted sense of social justice. How many individuals leave their car out on the street for others to use when they are not using it? How many people even open their homes to the homeless or other indigent? The reality of human nature is that these acts are not viable options, nor are they capable of providing any real solution other than the creation of a dependency class that will never develop any need (or subsequently, any desire) to provide for themselves.
What differentiates Corporate Social Responsibility in the Community Developments is the provision of and access to viable, social assistance that provides people with the tools, the education and the opportunity necessary to attain their own levels of success. While there will be a limited cash allowance made to each individual1. Incentives will further be added to encourage the individual to attain levels of success in addition to making all of the requisite tools available to them and providing them with opportunities for work and advancement2.
For example, a stay-at-home mother may decide that staying at home and being a mom is more important than going out and working, but this should not detract from the fact that she is still in fact working very hard. She may be tasked with nothing more than ensuring that her children receive regular medical check-ups or are regularly attending school, though she would still receive a cash subsidy in addition to the social assistance programs available to all residents of the community. It could be that once her children have reached a certain age that this same mother would desire to return to complete her education or even to advance her education.
She would receive a lower cash allowance (the normal … based on standards as shall be established) for her personal situation and an allotment for attending school as well. The education would be provided at no cost as long as it were within the parameters established by the results of her aptitude batteries. Upon entering the work force, she would again retain the standard cash allowance for her particular situation while at the same time receiving a paycheck for her work the same as any employee enjoys today. Thus, while each person would have a minimal standard for the provision of funding and services and goods, they would have further incentive to improve their situation through financial gain rather than the financial penalties as would be incurred under the current guise of social welfare systems currently in place throughout the world.
1 Each individual who has reached the lawful age and/or otherwise been emancipated and is an accountable citizen of the Community Development will be eligible for a cash allowance in much the same way as that currently provided by the Energy Companies in and around Alaska in the United States of America.
2 While all of these options will be made to the citizens and individuals of each and every established and operational Community Development, there will be certain limitations placed on those, formerly among the indigent and homeless who will build the actual communities. In such cases, the demands involved with construction will necessitate hiring and providing for only those families as have shown themselves to be motivated enough to at least attempt to improve their situation in life. Likewise, the percentages of formerly underclass citizens will be substantially higher during the construction phases of the Community Development than they will be in the fully operational communities. This is necessary based on the fact that the actual construction of the Community Developments will be one of the primary locations for providing jobs and housing for those formerly indigent system and the fact that more socially adjusted and adept individuals will be moving in as the community becomes more well-established.
